Fandom Mashup #65

Fandom Mashups
Fandom Mashups is an original feature here at Lunar Rainbows Reviews.  The idea is that every week, I propose a unique fictional scenario and then build my personal dream team of five fictional characters from five different fandoms to complete the task!  Anyone is welcome to join in on the fandom fun - all I ask is that you link back to me somewhere in your post :)

Hello friends and happy Sunday! I hope you're ready to wield phenomenal cosmic power today because:

You've gained ELEMENTAL MAGIC! First tell us which element(s) you have an affinity for and then tell us: which characters are going to train you up?

Ideally, I'd be like the Avatar, able to wield all 4 elements...but, baring that, I'd either be a Water Bender, or an Air Bender - though I do love Fire Bending too - you see my dilemma here, right?!

Aang
First choice naturally, is this little guy^^ As a kid basically he was able to master all 4 elements and become a seriously powerful entity.  Regardless of the element(s) I master, I want him in my corner.

Kell

As an Antari, Kell is able to work all of the elements.  And he's wicked good at them. Sure he can be a bit crabby, but I love the guy so he must be one of my mentors!

Dumbledore

I know that Dumbledore isn't an elemental wizard, but he has amazing skill with Fire and Water spells so I'm going to count him here^^ Plus, it's DUMBLEDORE.

Aelin
Obviously, the Fire-Breathing Bitch Queen makes the list. Her skill with fire is mind-blowing and she's not done yet. Maybe she'll thrown in some 'badass lessons' while we're at it ;)

Percy Jackson
Percy's innate gift with water? I want it. I know he's a demigod and not an elemental, but having those water skills has got to count for something. GIMME.

Did I miss any good elementals? Let me know!

  1. Yes!! I love elemental power- even though I guess I haven't read THAT many books with it. But I love the idea. I think Water or Air would be my pick too, although Earth might be cool if could do stuff w/ the natural world. I don't know many of these but I like how describe Aelin- maybe I need to read those!

And while I don't have a lot of elemental picks, for cosmic power I'd pick Silver Surfer!

    1. I think I'd end up with the Water Element (astrologically and personality-wise) but I adore Air and Fire too...I've never been all that attracted to Earth for some reason...

YES Greg you need to read Throne of Glass :D

  2. Wow, were our minds synchronized this week! XD I love how you even have a GIF of the cave scene from HBP, which is EXACTLY what I was thinking of with Dumbledore and fire. ♥ And how amazing would it be to have both Aang and Kell, two masters of ALL the elements, on the same team?!

    1. It was UNCANNY this week XD I was seriously tempted to add Zuko, because I LOVE HIM but if I wasn't a Fire-Bender, I figured Aang would be better suited ;) Dumbledore is so gifted with Fire (and everything really) I couldn't leave him out. Aang AND Kell together would be EPIC, I agree!! I'd love to see how their approaches differ!

  4. Yes! It would be way to hard for me to choose. I would definitely want to be a master of all! You've got a great list here. The only one that I don't know is Kell, but I have all intentions of reading Shades soon. I'm reading two books right now with the main characters having fire powers LOL

This blog is an award-free zone. I appreciate the thought but I can't invest the time needed.
