Fandom Mashup #64

Fandom Mashups
Fandom Mashups is an original feature here at Lunar Rainbows Reviews.  Every week, I propose a unique fictional scenario and then we build our own personal dream team of five fictional characters from five different fandoms to complete the task!  Anyone is welcome to join up - all I ask is that you link back to me somewhere in your post :)

Hello everyone!  I hope you're all having a great Sunday?  It's still very hot and muggy here so I'll be heading out to the beach soon...but first:

You've been put to the task of assembling villains and (hopefully) showing them the error of their ways. Which villains are you going to try to convert?

I'm thinking it'd be best to aim for villains who are not wholly evil, but more shades or gray so that they might be tempted to leave their villainous ways behind. Let's see what we can come up with:

Loki (Thor)

Loki has always struck me as a bit misguided. I know he's the God of Mischief but he also just seems to want acceptance.  I think with some hard work, we could make an honorable man out of him...or at least, a lesser villain.

Barty Crouch Jr. (Harry Potter)

By the time we meet Barty Crouch Jr. he's already be hardened by Azkaban without much hope of going back.  I've always been struck though, by how much he pleads to his father when he's caught.  He might not have been innocent, but a part of me feels that given the chance (earlier on) he could have turned out ok.

The Master (Doctor Who)

We all know that The Master is crazy AF, but he's also constantly conflicted. He likes The Doctor, but he's jealous of him too. Acting out is his way to get attention. I wonder if The Doctor would be able to reach him...or at least, keep him in line, given the chance.

Ruby (Supernatural)

I mean this version specifically^^ when her character is recast, she seems to take on a much more manipulative persona.  Maybe it would have been the case regardless, but I still wonder if this Ruby^^ could have been saved.

Catwoman (Batman)

Catwoman is a purrfect shades of gray character because she doesn't seem to care which side she's on. I think that Batman could keep her on track though, if he wasn't always so know...saving Gotham.

  1. So sorry I missed posting this week; stupid real life got in the way. o_O I'll be back next week, though! the pics of TH & DT. I rewatched GoF last week and I know DT is playing a baddie, but man is he fantastic at it! XD

    1. LOL no worries, lately it's just me and you anyway - I have fun enough doing these to keep going on my own LOL! I thought of you when I added TH...and well, you know how much I adore DT :D It's such a treat to see him in GoF now that I know him from DW...and everything else LOL!

  2. Loki is perfect for this! I am with you on thinking that he could be shown the right path. Not so sure I feel that way with Barty Crouch Jr. though. He was too much of a fanatic and I think his pleading was to shove the knife into his dad. I hope I'm wrong though and that he might would've seen the straight and narrow. Ruby - I liked her. I knew she was shady but I still had hope. I was a Buffy fan and have seen bad guys be the good guys. She let me down though. Now I'm on season 7 and while I love Cas, he has gone off the deep end. I also really enjoy Crowley though he's a villain and anti-hero more than anything.

    1. Loki just needs a little love and for someone to tell him he's special I think XD Crouch Jr. is a tough one, I pity him in the books because he genuinely seems innocent at first...and well, in the films he's David I'm clearly biased ;) I liked blonde Ruby but as soon as she was recast, I didn't anymore. WHY didn't I think of CROWLEY! GAH! I kind of want to kick myself now, he would have been perfection!!

I LOVE comments & do my best to return every one a.s.a.p. ♥
