Stacking the Shelves *54*

Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews showcasing new books we've gotten a hold of (bought/given/gifted/trade/for review).

Hi everyone and welcome to my seriously belated StS post!  Really though, this has items from my birthday haul which was in...March O.O  I've had the post drafted up but I ended forgetting to post one week and then expecting books the next, until it snowballed and here we are in June!

Let's start with some late but very great birthday goodness:

The Dark Days Club by Alison Goodman, The Last Ever After by Soman Chainani,
The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater, and A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

*You know it's a good time when you have Stiefvater and Maas in one bookhaul*

I also got this EPIC Raven Cycle Mug:
Thank you Lee ♥ you're the best - Also? The way Ronan is looking at Adam is TOO MUCH.

And onto physical review copies:

Radiance by Catherynne M. Valente,  Riders by Veronica Rossi, Children of Earth and Sky by Guy Gavriel Kay.

Thank you Raincoast Books and Penguin Random House Canada!!

Alcatraz VS The Evil Librarians, Alcatraz VS The Scrivener's Bones, Alcatraz VS The Knights of Crystallia (Alcatraz #1-3) by Brandon Sanderson

Thank you Tor!!

That's it for me, we are officially caught up on all the goodies I've gotten since March
Have you read any of these? Share your thoughts with me please?

    1. Well, I work on Saturdays so forgetting to post it happens...frequently. The Raven Cycle is THE BOOK this year...with ACoMAF following closely behind! A reread is DEFINITELY in my future where both of these series are concerned! Thank you! xx

    1. I agree! Yup, can't go wrong with Maas and Stiefvater - they're two out of my top four favorite authors :D So far I've heard nothing but rave reviews for Dark Days Club so I can't wait to (finally) read it - it'll be my first Alison Goodman read! (Naturally Eon is on the tbr shelf as well LOL)

  9. OMG I am officially freaking out at your book haul this week. I don't even know where to start! I guess the Brandon Sanderson books, because I LOVE the Alcatraz series so hard :) I only started it this year as well, and I am officially hooked. They're very different from his other books, but they are SO funny. I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I did!

Also fantastically excited to see Guy Gavriel Kay's book. I don't think it was his best I've read, but it was still great and anyway, everyone should read GGK! Also amazing that you got The Raven King. I'm also a bit curious about A Court of Mist and Fury, but I'm a bit nervous due to all the mixed things I've seen :)

    1. LOL! I'm glad I'm not the only one Mogsy^^ I'm only about 70 pages into Alcatraz but loving it so far - then again, I knew I would, because Sanderson ♥

GGK is one I definitely want to check out soon - hopefully it'll be enough to turn me onto his other books! The Raven King was THE BEST of 2016 so far with ACoMaF close behind. I know a lot of people were upset with the ship switch but man did it ever work for me...it was like a breath of fresh air :D

  12. Your bookhaul is amazeballs, Micheline (LIKE YOU.)

I hope you LOVE The Dark Days Club! It's a little slow in the beginning but OMG it's so good! ALSO YAY FOR TRK. I now own BLLB and TRK so I guess I have some binging to do ;)

The cover for Radiance is GORGEOUS (and kind of reminds me of HUGO CABRET) so I'll have to look it up! ALSO ENJOY RIDERS. :DDD

    Basically, happy reading <3 <3
