Fandom Mashup #57

Fandom Mashups
Fandom Mashups is an original feature here at Lunar Rainbows Reviews.  The idea is that every week, I propose a unique fictional scenario and then build my personal dream team of five fictional characters from five different fandoms to complete the task!  Anyone is welcome to join in on the fandom fun - all I ask is that you link back to me somewhere in your post :)

Hi! Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you're all having a relaxing day so far because things are about to get real and deadly serious:

You were just killed (-wait, what?!) but you're not going to let that stop you from coming back. Pick 5 characters who cheated death to help you figure out how to return to the land of the living.

Harry Potter

Can we even think about characters cheating death without talking about The Boy Who Lived?! NOPE.  Harry should have died so many times, I've lost count (not really but you guys don't need to know I'm even geekier than you already know!) If I'm going to cheat death, I need The Master to show me the ropes.

Sabriel cheated death early on and honestly, as a powerful good Necromancer, she seems like an obvious choice here.  If there's any way I can cheat death, Sabriel can help! And hell, if I come back zombified, she can take care of that too,

I know that there was technically a time limit on Gandalf's return, but still: he knows the ins and outs of dying and then getting a second chance! If anyone can teach me how to make the most of the time that's given to me (*ahem*) he can ;)

Sam Winchester and/or Dean Winchester

Honestly, has ANYONE died more than these two?! I doubt it.  I know technically Dean died like a million times in that one episode thanks to The Trickster, but other than that, these two have died nearly as often as the other.  There is ALWAYS a way with them so welcome aboard boys!

Aelin Galathynius

There were a great many close calls for my favorite assassin/queen and if anyone can get out of a tight spot, she can^^ With her skills, powers and connection, she'd be a huge asset here. Plus, I really wanted to have a team with Sabriel AND Aelin on it. *fangirls*

  1. Being a necromancer like Sabriel is definitely handy in this week's scenario, lol. Harry was a total given for this one, too, haha! I gave Aelin this week off, but I'm sure she'll be back at work next week! XD

    1. Agreed^^ and let's be honest: ANY occasion where I can fangirl about her WINS :D And around here, Harry and Aelin sure do pull their weight LOL!

  2. Ooh what a topic! I have to think about this one a bit more, but I'd maybe add Jon Snow since he's come back too- course he doesn't know HOW so maybe he's not such a good pick lol. Anyway this list looks good to me!!

    1. Thanks Greg! LOL yeah that might be tricky^^ Thanks again :)

  3. Harry! So bravely facing death not knowing he could make it through to the other side. The part that really got me about that moment was when he was thinking how tired he was and wondering if he really wanted to just move on in peace or endure more hardships by going back. We all know he's brave though and couldn't leave others to do what he could help with. Gandalf too! I'm so glad he had more time.

    1. OMG Jaclyn, THAT moment just broke me. With how brave he'd been up to that point and how much he'd lost, I could literally feel his pain as if it was my own *sobs* And then to be even braver and to chose to go back! GAH! ♥ And ditto on Gandalf :)

I LOVE comments & do my best to return every one a.s.a.p. ♥
This blog is an award-free zone. I appreciate the thought but I can't invest the time needed.
