Harry Potter Moment #136

Harry Potter Moment of the Week

Harry Potter Moment of the Week is a  meme hosted by Leah @ Uncorked Thoughts  and Me @ Lunar Rainbows Reviews. The idea is to share a favorite moment, magical item, character, spell, quote, object from the books, films or J.K.Rowling herself!  How to join up &  upcoming topics here.

Hello my friends! How is everyone today? I'm a the middle of one of my busiest work-weeks since I started my new job last August, but I'm not complaining: more work = more money and more money = more books :D But have no fear, I will always find time to talk Potter with you all! And here's this week's topic:

Favorite Seamus Moment?

Well, it's NOT when he went all douchey on Harry and accused him of lying about Voldemort being back, THAT's for sure >.>  The reason I mentioned that particular moment, is because it ties it to my favorite Seamus moment: I really appreciated the fact that Seamus was big enough to admit he was wrong afterwards.  He openly apologized to Harry and was even humble enough to ask to be a part of Dumbledore's Army.  Way to sack up Seamus!

Naturally though, if we're talking movies, I loved watching the kid make even the most unlikely items explode XD

You blew up WATER. Well done son *slow clap*

Oh and bonus points for being best friends with Dean Thomas, who I think is especially awesome^^

  1. Sometimes our responses are so similar, I think we are the same person. These are exactly my thoughts. I'm incredibly impress by Seamus's humility. I mean, he called him out publicly and essentially accused Harry of being greedy for attention. His admission and apology became a huge deal. Not everyone can admit they were wrong, especially when they'd been super vocal about it... take Fudge for example.
    Great post!

    1. Right?! We were completely in sync this week! As much as it annoyed me when he was a disbeliever, it was HUGE of him to admit he was wrong publicly like that! Especially after being so vocal about his thoughts previously, like you said. Fudge is a perfect example of what NOT to do^^

  2. I also have to give it up for Seamus for apologizing to Harry in front of everyone. I was glad those two were able to patch things up. And Seamus did seem to have a knack for making stuff explode in the movies, lol; I loved when McGonagall told Neville to take Seamus with him to blow up the bridge in DH2. XD

    1. I was too, they were good pals before and then Seamus turned into a total tool and kept calling Harry out publicly. When he finally came around it was a relief to be honest. LOL! I loved that moment too: a particular proclivity for pyrotechnics! XD

  3. If we were talking movies, the exploding parts would definitely be my favorite as well. I love it when McGonagall calls him out for it in the final film. I'm with you, I think it's great when someone can admit that they're wrong. I will gladly eat crow if I'm wrong about something because you should admit it. That moment definitely showed his maturity. To be fair though, Seamus tried to have an honest conversation with Harry about his thoughts and Harry immediately responded with anger.

    1. LOL! I love that too^^ I thought it was really big of Seamus, admitting his mistake - it's like someone mentioned in the comments, take Fudge for example and his refusal to admit he was wrong regarding Voldemort. You make a good point, but I tend to always blindly side with Harry, even when he's a rage monster XD
