Top Ten Tuesday #37

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish which features a variety of bookish top ten lists!

This week is a Valentine-themed week, and even though I'm not big on Valentine's Day, when I saw one of the options was about Fictional Crushes...well, of course, I wanted in :) So here they are, in no particular order:

Top 10 Fictional Crushes

Ronan Lynch - Ok so I know Ronan likes Adam, but it can't be helped: I like Ronan. A lot.  I still ship him like crazy with Adam but nonetheless, he's one of my fictional crushes! I live for his snark.

Kaladin Stormblessed - I have a thing for the self-sacrificing hero (if that isn't obvious, this post should make it crystal clear) and Kaladin fits the bill perfectly. Plus look at him^^

Sam Roth - My newest fictional crush. A bookish musician?! Who could resist? I mean, that's pretty much THE dream, isn't it - or is that just me?

The Doctor - Ten will always be one of my all-time favorite fictional crushes.  Every damn thing about him appeals to me: eyes, hair, suit, coat, brainy specs. And he's oh-so-clever! *stares into his eyes for days*

Sherlock Holmes - I know, I know, Sherlock is a jerk.  I find myself not caring though because he's brilliant and that makes him dead sexy.  Those eyes are just something else!

Sam Winchester - Most girls prefer Dean, but I've been a Sam-girl since season 1. Sam's tragic, tortured and hot. Exactly my type. Plus with everyone going for Dean, I can have Sam all to myself XD

Harry Potter - The Boy Who Lived. THE epitome of a true hero. I love him with all my heart, it's as simply as that.

Rowan Whitethorn - Granted, in CoM, I was a Captain of the Guard girl through and through - and I still am!! I just really grew to love Rowan in HoF...and then QoS sealed the deal. Fae Princes FTW.

Peeta Mellark - Another (apparently) unpopular choice but he made the list all the same.  When I first read THG, I was conflicted about who I loved more between him and Gale but CF turned me into a Peeta girl through and through.

Aragorn II Elessar - Yet again, I know most girls have a thing for Legolas - and I do too - but I've always prefered Aragorn...because, well...he's dreamy ♥.♥ I guess I'm just the black sheep when it comes to fictional crushes LOL, which is good cause that means I don't need to share!

  1. ROWAN!!!!! Love him (as you know haha). And I am an Aragorn girl too, even though I do love me some Legloas as well. Great list!

  2. That is an amazing fanart of Kaladin! =D And yay for the Doctor and Aragorn (same here, Legolas was cool but I preferred Aragorn too...well, Eomer first, but from the Fellowship, lol)! <3

Great list & topic! Marie-Laure and her father was one of my favourite aspects of All the Light We Cannot See <3 Favourite non-romantic love in literature...Off the top of my head, P&P's Jane & Elizabeth, The Shadow of the Wind's Daniel & Fermin, The Graveyard Book's Bod & Mrs. Owens...I'm sure I'm missing a ton other awesome non-romantic relationships that are wonderful xD

  3. Peeta, yes! He is one of my all time favorites! I also agree with Sam Winchester, though I'm more of a Dean girl :)

I have yet to read HOF, but I have heard some swoony things about Rowan. Right now, I'm Team Dorian!

  5. Rowan is on my list as well :D I also love Aragorn, though I love me some Legolas. I think I'd like to know Kaladin Stormblessed...he's gorgeous. I love that you have Harry, Sherlock, and The Doctor on here. While they are all great characters, I wouldn't crush on them, but like you said that leaves them for you!! And you're right, Sam pretty much is THE Dream.

  6. I know a few of these but Kaladin Stormblessed and Rowan Whitethorn- those are some awesome names. :P And as a guy I have to say Aragorn is way better than Legolas (ducks as people throw things). Ha ha fun list!

  7. I would totally date Kaladin Stormblessed in a second. I mean, look at him! That's actually the first piece of art I've seen featuring him close up like that, I like it :)

  8. Can I just say that pic of Kaladin has made me EXTREMELY motivated to read The Way of Kings? XD WOW. And huzzah for two Stiefvater boys on your list! Sam is just the sweetest, and Ronan: ♥♥♥♥♥

  9. Aragorn! YESSSS! So, I was obsessed with Legolas, of course, but I always really LOVED Aragorn too! And YES Peeta! Gale was never even an option for me. I do love Dean more than Sam, haha. And Chaol will always be the one for me. I love that you have Harry on here. I would probably have Sirius. (I was sort of obsessed with Gary Oldman for the LONGEST TIME)

  10. Ummmmm. YES MICHELINE! I can't even explain to you the depth of my love for Viggo as Aragorn. I was obsessed with him when the first movie came out. *pets screen*

I still need to read Queen of Shadows, but I adored Rowan as well. I *think* I'm still team Chaol, but he has some groveling and some maturing to do for bailing on Celaena when she needed him as a support system. It's possible Rowan will win me over completely in the next book, but only if he lives through the whole series and they end up together. I can't fall in love with their ship unless I know it's going to work out!!!!!
