Harry Potter Moment #122

Harry Potter Moment of the Week

Harry Potter Moment of the Week is a  meme hosted by Leah @ Uncorked Thoughts  and Me @ Lunar Rainbows Reviews. The idea is to share a favorite moment, magical item, character, spell, quote, object from the books, films or J.K.Rowling herself!  How to join up &  upcoming topics here.

Happy Christmas Eve Everyone!  My family has always gotten together on Christmas Eve rather than Christmas Day. It used to be that in the evening, we'd go to my grandmother and grandfather's house and watch them open their gifts from all their children and grandchildren. Those are some of the happiest memories of my childhood ♥  Now that my grandparents are older, my mom and her husband have taken up the tradition, so tonight, around 50 aunts, uncles, cousins and their children will crowd into my mom's house and hug, laugh, eat, drink, tell stories and take plenty of pictures all through the night :)  Whether you all are celebrating tonight, tomorrow or both, I wish you and yours nothing but the happiest of Christmas cheer, lots of love, good food and bookish surprises! And since we'd all love to spend Christmas at Hogwarts, let's see what kind of trouble we could get up to today to make our dear Harry proud:

What long lost magical item do you find in The Room of Requirement?

This topic is perfection.  And I actually looked up a list of all of the magical items from the Harry Potter world to come up with an answer here.  After eliminating items I really want, like the Marauder's Map, the Deluminator, Sirius Black's enchanted Motorbike and Hermione's handbag because they'd be unlikely to show up in the Room of Requirement, I finally decided on:

A Long Lost Time Turner

Possibly owned by one of the Founders, and stowed away in mysterious circumstances...The Time Turner would allow me to send myself to Hogwarts and follow ALL of the classes.  And then, once I'm a proper witch, I'd use it to find The Doctor.

  2. Merry Christmas, sweetie! I hope you have a fantastic time!

I think a time turner would be a great thing to own, but only if you were smart enough to use it wisely... I would go for old books myself, you never know what old magic has been forgotten ;)

I'm hoping that I would be smart enough to use my time-turner wisely...and if not well The Doctor will find me and make it right XD Old books sound wonderful too though, you could definitely find some very useful old magic!

  3. Omg 50 of you!?!? THAT IS INTENSE!! But sounds like a lot of fun! I always feel crowded when there's 9 of my close-living relatives over for Christmas. XD heheh.

A Time Turner would be insanely helpful....I'm reading HP7 right now and I'm utterly IN LOVE with Hermione's endless bag. :')
Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!

    1. LOL! Well this year it was more like 40 but yeah, it IS intense...AND fun :D As an introvert, I also tend to feel crowded with too many people in my space (relatives or no) BUT it's only once a year - and there's lots of hugs and laughs involved :)

Oh man, that bag is perfection! It's BIGGER on the INSIDE :D

    1. Thank you Soudha! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas too! A Time-Turned would be excellent, provided you used it carefully. And of course, I couldn't resist throwing The Doctor into the mix XD

  5. Excellent choice! I went through the same reasoning with what would actually turn up in the Room of Requirement and the Time Turner seemed spot on. Though I wouldn't say no to any of the other items you mentioned either! Hermione's bag would be so handy and I'd absolutely love flying. I'd definitely be a Quidditch player. Good luck finding the Doctor ;)

    1. Yeah, it was tough just sticking to what we could LIKELY find in the Room of Requirement. I was tempted to just list EVERYTHING I want to find, but that would have been too much LOL! Hermione's Bag is basically a TARDIS, which is probably why we all love it so much! Flying would be amazing, broom or TARDIS LOL Thank you :D
