Stacking the Shelves *49*

Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews showcasing new books we've gotten a hold of (bought/given/gifted/trade/for review).

Hi all! Wow, I haven't done a StS post in a long time! To be honest, I've been largely focussing on reading what I already own when I'm at home. And then on my commute, I've been borrowing audiobooks from my library - I suppose I could do audiobook haul posts, but since there's no physical copies involved, I just don't bother. Anyways, I have two pre-order arrivals to show you guys and a few physical arcs:

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass #4), Every Word by Ellie Marney (Every #2), Circles of Stone by Ian Johnstone (The Mirror Chronicles #2)

Obviously, Queen of Shadows is THE big one of the week. Month. Nah, pretty much the entire year has been spent pining after this beast. I've already finished reading it and my review is up, in case anyone missed it, you can check it out here

Every Word is a seriously exciting one too, I've been waiting for that bad boy to release in Canada for ages! I know it won't be long until I crack open the cover and feast on every word ;)

Circles of Stone is the follow up to The Bell Between Worlds, a MG fantasy debut that I really enjoyed. It seems like the wait for the sequel was terribly long but nonetheless, I can't wait to return to the world of The Mirror Chronicles Series.

I also got a little surprise this week in the form of an unsolicited ARC:

The Night Sister by Jennifer McMahon

This one is listed as a mystery/thriller/horror and while horror isn't a genre I read, I do like a good mystery and I can handle thrillers pretty well so I'll give this one a shot at some point! Thank you Penguin Canada :)

And that's all for me this week! Let me know if you've read any of these^^
And don't forget to link me up to your haul!

  1. No physical copies involved notwithstanding, I'd love to see what audio titles you get! I guess because so much of my reading comes from audio too, I've become very curious what people might be listening to. Actually, Queen of Shadows I actually did in audio, which is how I've been doing the entire series. It's great! Anyway, awesome haul this week, I hope you enjoy your new books! :)

  5. I still need to read The Night Sister. QOS was awesome and I want to read the next book now, why do I have to wait a whole year, so I get your feelings.... Awesome haul.

  7. Wow, this is the month for sequels! Every single time someone talks about Queen of Shadows I think about how much I want to read those books. I know I've told you at least a dozen times. BUT I've made a vow to myself that I will read at least one of the Throne of Glass books by the end of the year. :D The Every books sound really good too! (I'm guessing that the character names aren't a coincidence. *Sherlock Homles reference*) I might have to pick those books up too. Happy reading!

  8. I really enjoyed The Night Sister and wouldn't really categorize it as horror. More thriller and mystery. Hope you like it!

This blog is an award-free zone. I appreciate the thought but I can't invest the time needed.
