Fandom Mashups
Fandom Mashups is an original feature here at Lunar Rainbows Reviews. The idea is that every week, I propose a unique fictional scenario and then build my personal dream team of five fictional characters from five different fandoms to complete the task! Anyone is welcome to join in on the fandom fun - all I ask is that you link back to me somewhere in your post :)
Hello all! How is everyone doing on this fine Sunday? I love this time of year ♥ PLUS, Halloween is almost here! Eeeep :D I've been getting myself in the mood by rewatching the Harry Potter series and other witchy movies...that are light on the gore of course (self-professed scaredy-cat, right here!) Fittingly for this 'dark' time of year, here's our topic:
Obviously ;) Vader has his name written all over this week's topic. I can't imagine a Dark Side without him! He also had just enough humanity left in him to save the day AND bring balance to the Force. #win
One of my all-time favorite villains. Moriarty is as crazy as they come, but I love him to pieces. If I'm going to be taught all about darkness, I want this guy around^^ He's basically made of awesome. Oh and insanity, but hey, what are you going to do?
You've succumbed to the Dark Side (they have cookies!). Who do you want as your mentors of evil?
Darth Vader
Obviously ;) Vader has his name written all over this week's topic. I can't imagine a Dark Side without him! He also had just enough humanity left in him to save the day AND bring balance to the Force. #win
Khan
Another shades of grey villain that has good, albeit misguided motivations. He's intense, charismatic, layered and lethal. Plus? Benedict Cumberbatch. That is all.
*side note: this dancing Khan gif^^ makes my life*
Moriarty
One of my all-time favorite villains. Moriarty is as crazy as they come, but I love him to pieces. If I'm going to be taught all about darkness, I want this guy around^^ He's basically made of awesome. Oh and insanity, but hey, what are you going to do?
The Master
Speaking of crazy...The Master is THE poster child of insanity. He's unpredictable, chaotic and to be honest, he both scares and fascinates me. He'd be a charismatic and terrifying dark arts teacher! Here's hoping that he brings The Doctor with him XD
Barty Crouch Jr
And speaking of The Doctor...we all know why this guy made the list right?! I wanted someone from the Magical World, but I'd rather die than get anywhere near the prime candidates like Bellatrix and Voldemort so this guy was really the only choice. Oh and David-freaking-Tennant.

Bonus: because this week could NOT be narrowed down to 5 - I do love my charismatic villains ;)
The Joker
Darth Vader FTW! He's the first character I think of whenever I hear "Dark Side." And THANK YOU for including David Tennant's Barty Crouch, Jr. ♥ DT was absolutely perfect in that part- but then, when isn't he?!! XD
ReplyDeleteMe too Lee!! You can't learn about the Dark Side without Vader! And you know me, I couldn't resist having some DT on my team XD You're right, he was perfect as Crouch Jr, but he's always perfect ♥
DeleteDarth Vader and the Master! :D But also Khan, The Joker, and Barty Crouch Jr. are all amazing options! I cannot believe I forgot about Moriarty!! He would be an amazing mentor, teaching all about manipulation and elaborate schemes. I mean he's one of the few people who to outsmart Sherlock Holmes, at least for a time.
ReplyDeleteThis was such a good topic! There were so many amazing villains to choose from! Can you tell from all the exclamation points how exciting it was?! (haha)
I love everything you said about Moriarty Alex^^ HOW awesome is the new season of Sherlock going to be?! Gah! Thank you - I really had a lot of fun with this villainous topic too, I have to figure out a way to incorporate more villains into our topics more often :D
DeleteGreat post dear! Have a wonderful weekend:)

Thank you Irene! I hope you had a wonderful weekend too :)
DeleteYou have such a great team!! I love how Darth Vader is so popular this week because he is just so perfect for this scenario =D!! The Master is another perfect person to mentor you on the ways of the dark side. Although I would almost be concerned he is using you to somehow get back at the doctor. However, that would be a concern for most of these people so that's not a deal breaker :D.
ReplyDeleteI forgot about Khan and Barty Crounch Jr.!! Khan is one of my favorite villains because of how concerned he was for his crew. I know they were all probably crazy and murders, but the thought is still there. And Crouch Jr is perfect and totally not because of David Tennant, no of course not :)
Thank you Kimberly! I love it too, he really has his name written all over this week's topic :D Yeah, The Master totally would be trying to trap The Doctor...but the good thing about The Doctor is he can totally handle it ♥ I really love Khan too and I know it's like you said, his crew were probably all crazy but still...he has a heart and like a sucker I fell for it XD LOL @ your comment about Crouch and Tennant!! ;)
DeleteOoooo yes, such great choices Micheline! I LOVED Heath Ledger's Joker - her was the perfect amount of batshit crazy - enough to be terrifying, but not so much that you weren't sort of rooting for him. And if Darth Vader is on your team, I want to be to. Just saying:)
ReplyDeleteIs it bad that I'm only familiar with Barty Crouch and The Joker? D: Both of whom would be awesome evil mentors, of course! I'm familiar with the NAME Moriarty, but I have no idea who his character is. T_T Also.... I've never seen Star Wars. *hides*
ReplyDeleteAimee @ Deadly Darlings
Darth is definitely the character that sprang to mind when I read the topic, even though I didn't include him on my team. It's a perfect choice. Moriarty on the show Elementary is a girl. I actually enjoyed the strange morph of this character to fit in the Elementary story arc. I haven't seen Sherlock though I've heard excellent things. I love the addition of Barty Crouch Jr :D. I'm not familiar with Khan though I do love Cumberbach.
