Harry Potter Moment #106

Harry Potter Moment of the Week

Harry Potter Moment of the Week is a  meme hosted by Leah @ Uncorked Thoughts  and Me @ Lunar Rainbows Reviews. The idea is to share a favorite moment, magical item, character, spell, quote, object from the books, films or J.K.Rowling herself!  How to join up &  upcoming topics here.

Place you wish we'd explored in the series but didn't?

Oooh, this is a toughie! We explored SO.MUCH.terrain in the series but at the same time, there's an entire Wizarding World out there and we hardly scratched the surface. Let's hope the Fantastic Beasts film quells our thirst for more (somewhat).  In any case, I would have loved if we'd gotten to explore DurmstrangBeauxbatons and other Magical Schools because I think it would have been cool to compare how other schools do things differently.  Closer to home, I could have done with exploring the Great Lake at Hogwarts more, because it seems infinite and we barely made a dent in GoF

But I think my final answer has to be Godric's Hollow. It seems like such a legendary place filled with ancient magic.  I mean, the Peverells and Godric Gryffindor himself have history there. So do Dumbledore, Bathilda Bagshot AND Harry Potter. All legendary wizards with roots in that very same place! I think that's fascinating. Plus, it's a charming little village with a Wizarding settlement - what's not to love?!

  1. I thought about the other schools as well which would be wonderful to learn more about. Fantastic Beasts is supposed to be set in New York right so we'll get to see even more schools I would think. I love the idea of exploring the Great Lake more too as I'm sure there are so many creatures we never got a look at. Godric's Hollow too would be so great to learn more would've been interesting to see it while the Dumbledores, Bathilda, and all were there!

  2. I also thought about Godric's Hollow first but then I decided that there's a place I'd love to explore still more:

  3. I loved the glimpse we got of Godric's Hollow in DH, but it definitely left me wanting to know more about it! There's so much magical history there thanks to the famous figures associated with it, and I just love charming little English villages, too; they have so much character! :D

  4. I agree, there's so much world that was left unexplored in this series, which is kind of a shame when you think about how much could have come from it outside of Hogwarts, like Fantastic Beasts as you mentioned.

  5. Godric's Hollow is definitely a place I'd want to explore more. I went for Durmstrang and Beauxbatons in the end.

I LOVE comments & do my best to return every one a.s.a.p. ♥
