Top Ten Tuesday #30

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish which features a variety of bookish top ten lists!

Top Ten Auto-buy Authors

J.K. Rowling - Naturally. Even though I haven't caught up on all of her books, I will always add them unto my tbr and wishlist and I vow to read absolutely everything she writes - eventually.

Brandon Sanderson - Again, obviously. When your fandom becomes an army (#SandersonArmy) you know things are legit serious. I will read every single story the man writes if it kills me - and at the rate he writes, it might just do so.

Sarah J. Maas - Right?! So far, I own every.single.book. she's written. In MATCHING hardcovers, even though one had to be ordered in special and the shipping cost as much as the book itself. Yes, I'm THAT devoted obsessed.

Maggie Stiefvater - Hello captain obvious.  Granted, I haven't read everything she's written (yet!), but I own most of it, and that's halfway there, right?!  In my defence, I'm planning a Wolves of Mercy Falls buddy read in the near future :)

Laini Taylor - This woman's prose makes me swoon for ever. I will always want to read what comes out of that magical gothic fairy princess head of hers.

Karen Marie Moning - Granted, I haven't gotten past the original five books in her Fever Series, but I own the rest and even though I'm scared, I WILL read them.

Darynda Jones - I'm still working through her Charley Davidson Series, but once she finishes it, I just know I'll continue to check out whatever she comes up with next. Her humor is gold!

Suzanne Collins - IF she ever writes anything else, that is.  I'd read it for sure, even if it had nothing to do with the Hunger Games. Come on Miss Collins, give us SOMETHING!

Victoria (V.E.)Schwab - I'm playing catch-up with Schwab work since I discovered her last year but I will read ALL of the things. And then, whatever else she writes from there :)

Kelley Armstrong - So.Many.Books. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface! And girl is still writing like crazy O.O Regardless, I always want to read what she comes up with...so I will!

  1. So many of those authors I wanted to put on my list but I have only read one of their books (or none at all) so I didn't, but I have a feeling the next time around they'll be on the list. (Sarah J. Maas, Maggie Stiefvater, V.E. Schwab) And of course I have J.K. Rowling - she is my queen and I will read anything she publishes. Siriusly.
    Great list, Micheline!

  2. Victoria Schwab and J.K. Rowling are definitely auto-buy authors for me. And Sarah J. Maas is quickly becoming one too, although I've yet to catch up on the Throne of Glass series.

  3. (Ugh, Blogger just ate my comment -_-;)

Anyway, yay for Brandon Sanderson! *high-fives* And I have Laini Taylor and V.E. Schwab on my TBR queue; heard so much about them, looking forward to reading their books :)

  4. I need to get into Maggie Stiefvater's works; I've heard so many good things about them. And as for Suzanne Collins, I loved her Underland Chronicles. Definitely check them out if you haven't already and don't mind reading middle grade books.

  5. Huge yes to Brandon Sanderson! I still need to catch up with all his novellas though! :)

  6. Wolves of Mercy Falls buddy read- YAYYYYYYY!!!! Ahem, I'm just a tad excited about that. XD It is also my goal to read everything ever by Victoria Schwab; I'm still recovering from my epic ADSoM book hangover, lol.

  7. Sarah J. Maas is on everyone's list this week! I have her and Maggie Stiefvater on my list. And I think after I read more books by Laini Taylor, she will be on my list as well. Great job this week!

    Here's my TTT

  8. Yes to Brandon Sanderson! I will read anything he writes (though I haven't read the novellas or the Steelheart books yet.) And he's so efficient with his writing too! Great list!

  9. There's so many authors on here that I either autobuy or want to autobuy but haven't had time to build up the collection yet! (eg Kelley Armstrong and Brandon Sanderson). I must say you have excellent taste ;)

  10. "Laini Taylor - This woman's prose makes me swoon for ever. I will always want to read what comes out of that magical gothic fairy princess head of hers.

    SING IT!

I LOVE comments & do my best to return every one a.s.a.p. ♥
