Harry Potter Moment #101

Harry Potter Moment of the Week

Harry Potter Moment of the Week is a  meme hosted by Leah @ Uncorked Thoughts  and Me @ Lunar Rainbows Reviews. The idea is to share a favorite moment, magical item, character, spell, quote, object from the books, films or J.K.Rowling herself!  How to join up &  upcoming topics here.

Which Book(s) Would You Recommend to Draco?

Haha! This type of question was one of my favorite suggestions from you all^^ It was a tough one, but I had a blast thinking about it and weighing my options. In the end, I could only come up with one book that I'd really want to recommend to Draco, and it originated as an Anime Series:

Avatar: The Last Airbender

In my defence, there are books but they're a continuation of the Anime Series, so I'd recommend for Draco to watch the series, and then move on the the books. Yes, all of them. My reasoning is this: Seeing Zuko as a villain who turns things around might inspire Draco to grow a pair and do the right thing. I don't even care when he gets around to doing this. They could be after the events of Deathly Hallows. So long as he familiarizes himself with the lot. I like to imagine Draco totally digging Zuko in Book 1 when he's all spoiled and hell-bent on taking down Aang. But then, as Zuko mellows out and comes to his senses, it might just be wake up call dear old Draco needs to come to his senses!

I'm super curious: what did you guys pick?!

  1. Oh that is a cool suggestion! Hmmm... that's a tough one for me. I don't have any! I cant think of a book that has a storyline like Zuko's except for maybe Snape's biography

  2. This is a great suggestion! In my post I suggested Graceling and The Hunger Games. I just think Draco could learn a few lessons from those books.

  3. My sister loves Avatar: The Last Airbender, but I've only seen random episodes. I love your reasoning though, picking something with a redeemed villain is a great choice. I've gone along the same kind of lines with books that have morally questionable (but fun!) characters.

  4. Okay, whoever came up with this idea for moment of the week deserves 10 house points. Please say you'll do it for other characters too! So fun. And you came up with the perfect recommendation for Draco!!

  5. OK, I COMPLETELY freaked out when I saw that 2nd image of Zuko pop up in my Bloglovin feed!!! ❤ I'm almost at the end of season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Zuko has become my favorite character! I really didn't like him when I first started watching, but Ally said his character does a total turnaround, and she was so right (Zuko is her favorite, lol)! Once I'm done watching the series, I totally plan on getting my hands on the books! :D

  6. The parallels here are so good! I haven't seen any of Avatar: the Last Airbender, but from what you've said it sounds like a great book/show to read and watch! :D

  7. O.O This. Is. Perfect! Zuko is like his twin from another series! His story arc would speak so much to Draco and would maybe give him confidence to make his own path in life, away from his families values. Also, since most of the series is from Aang's POV it might show him the errors of his ways and he might start feeling sympathy for the people he was an jerk to.

  8. I love this! He should absolutely dive into these, no matter when and hopefully learn a thing or two about turning himself around. Excellent choice :D
