Fandom Mashup #8

Fandom Mashups
Fandom Mashups is a new original feature here at Lunar Rainbows Reviews and it's basically my way of creating dream teams of all my fandoms and having some fun with them.  The idea is that every week, I propose a unique fictional scenario and then build my personal dream team of five fictional characters from five different fandoms to complete the task!  Anyone is welcome to join in on the fandom fun and whip up a post - all I ask is that you link back to me somewhere in your post :)

Hi all! Are you ready for this week's Fandom Mashup?  Here we go:

In your adventuring, you've encountered a dragon :O  but you have no clue how to figure out if it's a friendly dragon or a human barbecue. Who do you take with you to investigate?

September (Fairyland)

I know...I know...September deals with a wyvern, not a dragon, but I feel like the skills could be transferable. In any case, her wyvern is brilliant so he could probably tell us if the dragon we're dealing with is friendly. Or not.

Harry Potter

Let's face it: Harry not only has experience in dealing with dragons (not to mention battling them), but he has experience with ALL KINDS of magical creatures. Downright scary ones at that. I'd want him by my side here for sure...but, then again, I always do ;)

Sam Winchester

Sam is a pro at research, so if we'd need to figure out what kind of dragon we're dealing with, he'd be the best choice. He'd go above and beyond too, telling us dragon-lore about our particular dragon and how to approach it as well.  Plus, if we did need to battle our dragon, Sam is brave enough to help us out.

Cimorene (Dealing with Dragons)

I mean, it's right there in the title^^ Cimorene learns all about Dealing with Dragons!  She's brave, unconventional and she was willing to walk straight into a dragon lair. WITHOUT knowing if they would be friendly dragons or if they would gobble her up!

Bilbo Baggins

An obvious choice I suppose but I can't think of anyone better suited to help us out here.  Bilbo willingly walked into the lair of THE MOST fearsome dragon of life.  And he lived to tell the tale!  Yup, Bilbo is coming with us. Just chalk it up to another adventure ;)

  1. Ally and Melissa are huge Supernatural fans- I'm going to have to tease them about how they forgot all about Sam! XD After dealing with that Hungarian Horntail, Harry is equipped to handle ANY dragon. And I can't wait to meet September in Fairyland; that is such a cute illustration! :D

    1. LOL, I didn't know that they were fans too^^ you really do need to get caught up with that fandom eh? We're aaaalllll around you XD Yup, I think Harry could totally handle this, but then again I think he can handle ANYTHING ♥ Oh I can't wait for you to meet September too, she's fantastic :D

  2. *Gasp* I forgot about Bilbo! He would be perfect! If he is brave enough to go into Smaug's nest then he is brave enough to confront an unknown dragon =D

I almost forgot about Sam too, I was sitting there trying to come up with my fifth team member and no one was coming to mind. Then the radio started playing Carry on my Wayward Son (no joke, it was freaky) and I was like, SAM!

    1. Oh don't feel bad, you forgot Bilbo but I forgot AANG, or even Zuko or Iroh. Yeah, I'm still kicking myself for that one LOL

OMG Carry On My Wayward Son, THAT.IS.AWESOME :D And I love how we both went with Sam ♥ It's not that I don't love Dean too, but lately he's been a little too volatile to deal with a dragon without wanting to kill it straight away O.O

  3. Nice to meet you, Micheline! I adore the fact you chose September for this. She's one of my ALL TIME favourite heroines and whether Ell was a dragon or a wyverary (and she did get him confused in the beginning, showing how well prepared she was *for* him to be a dragon and her skills in that area) I am sure she would be able to charm the scales off him. They're just such a beautiful pairing and I don't think I could really love a duo much more than those two.

    1. And nice to meet you Romi^^ I have nothing but love for September as well! And you're right: she was prepared to deal with El even if he was a dragon :D They are beautiful though and they do make a perfect team ♥

  5. This is so cute! I must admit I'd probably swap Harry for Charlie Weasley, purely because that guy's a dragon expert. ;) I imagine him as the Crocodile Dundee of the dragon world. Dragon Dundee.

    1. Yeah, another participant went with Charlie Weasley for just that reason^^ LOL @ Dragon Dundee :D ♥ I just tend to go with Harry for...well, pretty much anything XD

  6. This week is such a fun topic! Bilbo was a good choice - I only picked 4 for my team this week because I only had four instant must-haves, and I didn't want to just steal everyone else's ideas!

    1. Thanks Faith! Awww you totally could have picked some of the same ones as other people. Some weeks you just don't feel as inspired and a little help is needed! :)

  7. Wyvern or dragon, that is super cute! I haven't heard of that book before! Anyways, great picks! I feel like you have planned for both a friendly dragon and have insurance with Sam if things go wrong ;)

    1. Agreed^^ Oh it's such an enchanting MG series of gorgeously written prose and amazing characters ♥ I really need to continue with the series. And yeah, Sam is versatile for either outcome ;)

  8. Ohh cute topic! And great choices. I would take Bilbo and also Harry and Charlie Weasley :) Oh and Daenerys Targaryen Queen of Dragons of course. I haven't met September yet, but I feel like Manon with her wyvern-skills would be good too.

    1. Thank you :) Charley Weasley seems like the obvious choice this week, but I can't help it: my brain always goes straight to Harry hehe. And YES MANON - I can't believe I didn't think of her until after my post went up. D'oh!
