Harry Potter MotW #89

Harry Potter Moment of the Week

Harry Potter Moment of the Week is a  meme hosted by Leah @ Uncorked Thoughts  and Me @ Lunar Rainbows Reviews. The idea is to share a favorite moment, magical item, character, spell, quote, object from the books, films or J.K.Rowling herself!  How to join up &  upcoming topics here.

Most Anticipated Moment

This is another instance where I could easily go in more than one direction with my answer.  There are A LOT of moments I was anticipating throughout the series. I think we all anticipated Harry moving in with Sirius...only to have that possibility die right before our eyes and shatter our hearts in the process. *excuse me while I sob in a corner*  And sure, we were terrified of what would happen when Harry finally faced off with Voldemort in the end there, but we were all still sitting on the edge of our seats waiting to see how it all went down.  On a more personal note, I was thrilled when Harry realized he had feelings for Ginny so I was very eager for them to finally hook up and kiss :D  BUT. I think my most anticipated moment of the series was:

Dumbledore taking a bigger part in Harry's education

For some reason, as soon as I got into the series I'd been waiting for Dumbledore to step up and start teaching Harry some magic.  Sure, the fact that all the 'classes' were about Voldemort and the Horcruxes was a twist I wasn't expecting, but I was still over the moon that those two were spending some quality magical time together. Even if it did end in heartbreak :*(

  1. That moment with Sirius about killed me. It was too good to be true, and it made me so happy, only to crash so terribly. :X But I think for me it was the final showdown... After we learn it all in book one, I kinda expected it, and then after book 3 more so, and then after that graveyard... But as Harry went into the forest, I was done for. It was building up for seven books and it had some effect on me.

  2. I was always hoping to get more background story on Dumbledore too.. Like, that he would open up to Harry more and tell him about himself. At the same time, that mysterious past made him interesting too.

  3. I still haven't recovered from Harry and Sirius's plans to be a family never being realized, and I don't think I ever will. :( Harry's lessons with Dumbledore were riveting to read about and so important in setting up DH. I was OK until they went to that damn cave; I mean, I knew they had no choice, but still . . . *sniffles*

  4. That is THE moment. And this fan is very happy with the face off. No posturing, HP's destiny was well met when he finally faced off with Riddle/Voldy

I LOVE comments & do my best to return every one a.s.a.p. ♥
