Waiting on Wednesday *97*

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by  Breaking the Spine which spotlights upcoming book releases that we're especially looking forward to!

Here's my pick this week:

A Court of Thorns and Roses
by Sarah J. Maas
A Court of Thorns and Roses #1
Expected Publication: May 5th 2015 by Bloomsbury

When 19-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow over the faerie lands is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it ... or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.
My fangirling for Sarah J. Maas truly knows no bounds:  I schedule my WoW posts weeks in advance, but the second the cover for A Court of Thorns and Roses went up last Friday, I was already whipping up a new post and bumping my other posts to later dates. >.< Yup, I'm not even going to pretend that that didn't happen. As if all of this ^^ wasn't exciting enough, according to author Maas' blog, this will be a trilogy intended for an older-YA audience. The protagonist, Feyre seems fierce enough in her own right, and I love the mix of  Fae-lore with romance and action. Clearly, I'd read anything SJM writes at this point, so I can NOT wait to get my hands on this stunner!

How EPIC does ACOTAR sound?
Let me know when you link me up below.

  2. Wow, she'll be busy, with her other YA series to finish and now this new one. I'm definitely on board for this, the "older YA" description also intrigues me.

  4. YESSS I am SO pumped for this new release. I love me some fantasy and Maas is the queen of it so I'm super excited about what she's cooking up for us! I do find it so strange though that the US and UK cover are SO similar. Except the UK cover looks a little deprived. Like all the elements are there except for the cool trees at the book o_O

  7. New Sarah J. Maas book = MUST. OWN. I'm psyched to check out this new series; I might even be past my Heir of Fire hangover by then, but not likely. XD

  10. I'm so curious about how this one goes. It's GORGEOUS! But that synopsis is hitting some of my worries of fae as romantic interests ;-)

  11. I'm so excited for this one too! There's nothing quite like realizing an author you love is coming out with something brand new. Seriously, even if the description didn't sound this awesome, I'd still have to read this one.
