Waiting on Wednesday *76*

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by  Breaking the Spine which spotlights upcoming book releases that we're especially looking forward to!

Here's what I'm waiting on this week:

Suspicion by Alexandra Monir
Expected Publication: December 9th by Delacorte Press

Mysterious. Magnificent. Creepy. Welcome to Rockford Manor.

"There's something hidden in the Maze." Seventeen-year-old Imogen has never forgotten the last words her father said to her seven years ago, before the blazing fire that consumed him, her mother, and the gardens of her family's English country manor.

Haunted by her parents' deaths, Imogen moves to New York City with her new guardians. But when a letter arrives with the news of her cousin's untimely death, revealing that Imogen is now the only heir left to run the estate, she returns to England and warily accepts her role as duchess.

All is not as it seems at Rockford, and Imogen quickly learns that dark secrets lurk behind the mansion's aristocratic exterior, hinting that the spate of deaths in her family were no accident. And at the center of the mystery is Imogen herself--and Sebastian, the childhood friend she has secretly loved for years. Just what has Imogen walked into?
I know I'm repeating myself but: I freaking love stories featuring mazes or labyrinths!  LOVE THEM.  It's so exciting to think of exploring them, especially in a fantasy setting where you just don't know what kind of creatures or magic you could find.  Suspicion has a maze and this maze is in ENGLAND.  Yeah, you all know I wouldn't be passing this one up - not in a million years.  To top it all off, this one has a gorgeous cover to boot.  I'm dying to get my hands on this one!

What do you guys think of Suspicion?
Let me know when you link me up to your WoW posts :)

  1. Suspicion sounds truly awesome, Micheline! I love mysteries, too, but I can't really remember many stories I've read with mazes or labyrinths in them.
    Have a wonderful Wednesday :)

  5. Such a beautiful cover! I loved her book, Timeless, not so much the sequel but I'm more than willing to give the author another go.

This blog is an award-free zone. I appreciate the thought but I can't invest the time needed.
