Stacking the Shelves 36 - BEA'14

Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews showcasing new books we've gotten a hold of (bought/given/gifted/trade/for review).

Hi guys! This is technically part 2 of my official Book Expo America 2014 recap: my book haul! (If you missed part 1 and want to check it out click here) So... instead of having the official covers displayed and linking through that way like I usually do, I decided to just share my pictures for each individual day's haul and link up the titles. Here goes:

BEA Book Haul - Day 1:
Lux Beginnings by Jennifer L.Armentrout, The Beautiful Ashes by Jeaniene Frost, Talon by Julie Kagawa, The Jewel by Amy Ewing, Lies We Tell Ourselves by Robin Talley, Talented by Sophie Davis, Clariel by Garth Nix, Let's Get Lost by Adi Alsaid, Alistair Grim's Odditorium by Gregory Funaro, Ghost House by Alexandra Adornetto, The Walled City by Ryan Graudin, The Perils of Sherlock Holmes by Lauren D Estleman, Stitching Snow by R.C Lewis, Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater, The Ring & The Crown by Melissa De La Cruz and Zodiac by Romina Russell (♥)

BEA Book Haul - Day 2:
Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick, Pennyroyal Academy by M.A Larson, Salt & Storm by Kendal Kulper(!!!), Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas (OMG ♥♥♥), The Young World by Chris Weitz, The Falcon Throne by Karen Miller, The 8th Continent by Matt London, Compulsion by Martina Boone, The Doubt Factory by Paolo Bacigalupi, Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini, The Fire Artist by Daisy Whitney, The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black and Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld.

BEA Book Haul - Day 3:
Pathfinder by Angie Sage, Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater, The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater, The Iron Trial by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare, A World Without Princes (School for Good & Evil #2) by Soman Chainani and The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick.

And finally the complete haul, including my two favorite totes: The Throne of Glass one of course (Celaena & Chaol & Dorian & Nehemia) and the 'I Like Big Books and I Cannot Lie'.  There's also some cool swag + souvenirs in there, i.e. my cool sparkly Batman cup :D

**A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to Harlequin, Scholastic, Bloomsbury, Hyperion, Simon Pulse, Harper, Harlequin Teen, Little Brown, Harper Teen, Razor Bill, Simon & Schuster, Orbit, Source Books Katherine Tegen Books, Delacorte Press and Feiwel & Friends who were all very generous, wonderful, and helpful publishers to talk to! **

  2. I'm drooling over your ToG bag! Mmmm...Chaol... Seriously-ALL of your books look AWESOME! It must be hard choosing which one to read next (a very good problem to have, lol)! And obviously I'm happy to see those Maggie Stiefvater titles in there; I've really, really got to check out her Wolves of Mercy Falls series. I hope you love all of these, Micheline! :D

    1. We actually had to wait in line for the ToG totes! Usually they hand them out at random but not these - they were too special LOL They scanned out badges and everything! Choosing what book to read next WILL be a challenge...after I finish HoF ;-D And yes I was excited about all the Maggie Stiefvater goodness too!! Thanks Lee ♥

  14. *swoons* So much awesome Michelle. How can you handle it. How did your luggage not EXPLODE form the awesome?

You have TALON, and SINNER. I hope you love them both, I can't wait to read them *dance*

Have you read SHIVER? Tell me you've read SHIVER and you just picked up an extra copy cos it's PRETTY. Because ... I don't think I can talk to you anymore if you haven't (I kid, *hug*)

I have CLARIEL, it's so0o0o0 awesome, I hope you love it. And THE FALCON THRONE!! I got an ARC in the mail just last week and I got so excited, you won't believe.

And PATHFINDER! I still haven't read the very last Septimus Heap book. I should get on that.

Your haul is awesome, and you are awesome. Hope you love them ALL!

    1. LOL Thanks Shaheen! Oh and no, I *still* have NOT read Shiver BUT in my defence, it's been on my TBR for ages! And now that I have a copy, I can get on that asap! Please forgive my ignorance LOL And I agree Clariel and The Falcon Throne look AMAZING! Hopefully I can get to both soon >.< As for Pathfinder, I hope it turns things around for me, I was let down by the last Septimus Heap book :( I feel like the 6th was a better series finale than that one ended up being. BUT I do hope you'll have better luck with it!! Thanks so much hun and thanks for stopping by xxx
