Waiting on Wednesday *74*

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by  Breaking the Spine which spotlights upcoming book releases that we're especially looking forward to!

Here's what I'm waiting on this week:

The Perilous Sea by Sherry Thomas
The Elemental Trilogy #2
Expected Publication: August 26th 2014 by Balzer + Bray

After spending the summer away from each other, Titus and Iolanthe (still disguised as Archer Fairfax) are eager to return to Eton College to resume their training to fight the Bane. Although no longer bound to Titus by a blood oath, Iolanthe is more committed than ever to fulfilling her destiny—especially with the agents of Atlantis quickly closing in.

Soon after arriving at school, though, Titus makes a shocking discovery, one that makes him question everything he previously believed about their mission. Faced with this devastating realization, Iolanthe is forced to come to terms with her new role, while Titus must choose between following his mother's prophecies—and forging a divergent path to an unknowable future.
First thing's first: THAT COVER!!! O.O Man, is it ever gorgeous!  I'm drooling just looking at it - I'm especially digging the water effect on there.  That coupled with the name makes me wonder if a seafaring adventure is in the works this time around?!  Hmmmm, that would be epic.   I did have some issues with the first book when I read it last year but I was still invested enough in the story to want to go on.  I'm hoping the sequel will put those issues to rest and that this will shape up to be a thrilling series...but we'll have to wait and see ;-)

What are YOU waiting on this week?

This blog is an award-free zone. I appreciate the thought but I can't invest the time needed.
