Stacking the Shelves *35*

Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews showcasing new books we've gotten a hold of (bought/given/gifted/trade/for review).

This week is all about ARCs since I'm on another pre-BEA book-buying-ban.  That doesn't mean I'm not super-pumped about the goodies I did manage to get!  Check it out:

Far Far Away by Tom McNeal & The Vast and Brutal Sea (The Vicious Deep #3) by Zoraida Córdova

Snow Like Ashes and Far Far Away were both previous WoW picks for me so I'm thrilled to get a chance to read both.  The Terror of the Southlands is the sequel to Magic Marks the Spot which was a cute MG read which I'm hoping will improve intrigue-wise as the series moves forward.  Pathfinder is a spinoff of the Septimus Heap Series and though I certainly had my ups and downs with the original series, I'm curious to see how things will shape up with Todhunter Moon as a main character instead of Septimus.  Finally, I now own all three books in The Vicious Deep trilogy so I guess I should really get started on that series soon >.<

Have you read any of these?
Let me know when you link me up to your haul!

  1. Nice haul! I haven't read any of these but Snow Like Ashes is on my review stack. I had Far Far Away but couldn't get into the writing style and passed it on to another reader. Come see what I got at Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!

  2. The Vicious Deep has been hanging around on my TBR list for forever. My last mermaid read didn't work out so well, so I think I've been subconsciously putting off any more of them, lol. Enjoy all of your new goodies, Micheline! :D

  6. I already managed to read Snow Like Ashes and it was mostly okay. Some good points some bad points and it dragged, but it eventually had a nice ending. So basically I'm undecided lol. This is going to be one of those books where everyone else will like it more than me probably. I just have that feeling lol.

  7. Ooh, Snow Like Ashes!! I'm super curious about that one. I haven't requested it yet because I have been trying to keep my requesting down, but I've come very close many times now... so tempting! I know I'll regret not reading it early if I read your review and you loved it (which I hope you do!). I'm also very curious about Far Far Away - it sounds GREAT!

This blog is an award-free zone. I appreciate the thought but I can't invest the time needed.
