Favourite moment in Book 5
This is a daunting question, if only because OotP is such a massive read. There are a lot of moments to chose from to be sure but looking back, I think my favorite moment is:
Harry & Dumbledore's end-of-the-year chat
These chats happen at the end of virtually every book but this one was especially poignant. I was glad that Harry was finally able to voice (and express) some of the anger he was feeling over the sudden loss of Sirius - not to mention feeling completely shut-out and isolated for the duration of the book. I appreciated Dumbledore allowing Harry to completely trash his office and his belongings but I was especially happy that Harry finally got some straight answers and much of the truth (but not all of it, of course!) about his destiny where Voldemort is concerned. I think it was the perfect time for all of this to go down though, cause Harry was finally ready to hear it all.
Ooooh great pick! I was so glad Harry finally had answers, and that he vented, as you said. A very important talk, too, for the next two books in the series. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
Awww such a great pick! That scene is so emotional and I always cry like a baby reading it haha. Never has a series effected me so much! Xxx
ReplyDeleteThat was such a gut-wrenching moment; Harry had just suffered such a terrible loss and had gone through SO much during that school year. Lovely pick, Micheline! :D
ReplyDeleteThat was very emotional indeed. I think my favorite part is the fight at the ministry, but this was is definitely in my top 3 :D
ReplyDeleteMan, how poignant this was. And a long, LONG time coming. One of my favourites too.
