Stacking the Shelves *24* - I'm back!

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews showcasing new books we've gotten a hold of (bought/given/gifted/trade/for review).

Alright, so I've been not so mysteriously absent from StS since mid-March, the reason being that I am on a deadly book-buying ban! Yep o.O  Since I'm going to BEA at the end of the month (Eeep!) AND since I already have so many new unread books... it needed to be done.  And, I'm much too lazy to do up a post for a few Netgalley approvals a week LOL!  Anyways, this is a pretty sweet haul since I got some epic physical copies thanks to the lovely Giselle @ Xpresso Reads - who's bookshelves were quite overpopulated.  Lucky for me, she wanted to make more room and offered me some of the spoils:

*Physical Copies*

The Preciousssss...*cough* I love you Giselle!!
And I've also managed to get a few ARC's via Netgalley in the past bit:

**A BIG thanks to Disney Book Group, Flux Books, Harlequin UK, Entangled Publishing & Diamond Book Distributors for the copies via Netgalley!!**

SO what do you think?  And what did YOU get this week?
Link me up!!

  1. I'd fail big time if I put myself on a book buying ban! Great books though especially Scarlett and The Diviners! Loved Scarlett and I really can't wait to read The Diviners. I'm also intrigued by The Friday Society, not my usual read but it sounds really fun! Enjoy your new books :)

  4. Book buying bans don't work well for me. I have no willpower. Case in point, The Friday Society and The Diviners are on my TBR mountain and have been since they were released. I did read Scarlet and loved it. Please come see what I got at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. Happy reading!

  8. I have to ban myself at times too, I get overwhelmed and just need a breather. Awesome haul though Lady and I can't wait to see what all you pick up at BEA. I'm jealous by the way, have I mentioned that? :)

  14. Ooh- The Diviners! That was an awesome read! I love how Libba Bray writes paranormal; I'm about to start reading the second book in her Gemma Doyle series, which is also fantastic. I hope you enjoy all of these, Micheline!

  15. I've been wanting to read The Diviners since it came out, and even though I have it on my shelf now, its size is intimidating...so I keep pushing it back! :P The Night Circus also sounds amazing, so I'll have to get my hands on it one of these days. I hope you enjoy!

  16. The Night Circus, The Diviners, and The Friday Society are FANTASTIC. I really liked them all. The Night Circus was a book that left me speechless.

I really want to read School Spirits, and I have The Collector and Ink waiting for me to read...

    Enjoy your books!

  17. Awesome haul! The Night Circus is fantastic! It's its own little contained world. I'm so curious about The Diviners! One of these days I'll just take it with me when I go to the book store to torture myself *cough* Awesome of Giselle to share her books with you :)
I got Some Quiet Place and Ink a couple weeks back! They're a bit further down the Netgalley list though. I tried for School Spirits and failed, but I wasn't really expecting any different. I hope you enjoy The Collector! I'm really torn about whether it's something I'd like or not.
Have fun at BEA hun, and enjoy your new books till then :D

  19. She gave you a finished copy of The Diviners? Your cousin is a bad-ass! I want it! Hey, Giselle, where's my copy? ;)

Scarlet was one of my favorite books this year so far. I did not like The Night Circus at all so I wish you luck with that. It bored me to tears.

    Great haul, Micheline.
