Stacking the Shelves *15*

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews showcasing new books we've either received or bought this past week.

This week is yet another edition of what I've titled my ''Holiday Aftershock Edition'' of StS because of a generous Chapters gift card I received over the holidays!  SO far, I've been lucky with sweet deals & I've been able to stretch that bad boy out and make it last...which is...quite a remarkable feat considering how I love splurging on books.  I guess I've matured. A little. >.<

It was a pretty awesome week book wise for me.  Here's my haul:

These are all high-priority wishlist items for me!!  I am sporting a major perma-smile just writing up this post. See -->  :D  So yea, The Demon King is one I've been desperate to get my hands on since I found out about the series late in 2011.  Wizards, amulets, girl warriors & demon kings - my heart just sipped a beat. ♥   The Charley Davidson Series is another one I've wanted to get into since book 1 came out.  I'm seriously overdue for an awesome Adult Urban Fantasy too so I'm thinking of starting this one soon!  The same can be said for the Night Huntress Series, so when I walked by it I grabbed it.  I've heard SO many glowing comments & a hot Paranormal Romance sounds fun to me!

The False Prince & Blood Read Road are both e-books I got for cheap on my kobo.  Good thing too, because it was getting low on goodies that one.  Anyhow, The False Prince being a male narrated MG fantasy was obviously on my wishlist since I first heard about it.  I literally gasped out loud when I saw it for under $5 while browsing.  Blood Red Road I kept seeing around but I only really started paying attention to it last year.  Dystopians can get sort of repetitive but from what I gather, this one offers a fresh take on the genre & sounds quite thrilling to be honest.  Yay!

What pretties did you get this week?

  3. Holy crow - yes, yes, YES! The False Prince is really good (I just reviewed it and I couldn't stop gushing!) so you can bet that your $5 is definitely worth it. Blood Red Road was hard to read for me at first, but when I got the hang of it (you'll know what I mean when you start reading) it was pretty engrossing. Happy reading!
