Stacking the Shelves (7)

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews showcasing new books we've either received or bought this past week.

This week was more of a normal sized haul for me.  Not that I'm not jumping up and down excited at what books I did manage to get :)

Here's what was waiting in my mailbox for me:

It's here!!  It's finally HERE!!!  Laini Taylor's eagerly awaited sequel to Daughter of Smoke & Bone (one of my top 3 books of 2012) is finally in my house, I touched it with my hands guys!! Days of Blood & Starlight ♥   It's kind of making me want to haul up and read the whole freaking thing in one sitting...but I have to exercise some control...I am. I'm in complete control.  I'm cool. ...for now...
*ahem*
I also got a hold on Daimon, the prequel to Half-Blood, which I am currently reading.  I got the feeling that when I finished Half-Blood I'd want to have another read from The Covenant series handy in case I get withdrawals :)

And this is my Netgalley treat of the week:

I'm not going to lie: the fact that this story takes place in Prague AND deals with magic pretty much made it a no-brainer for me to request.  If that wasn't enough, the synopsis speaks of alchemist, astronomers, portals to hell and...tantric sex in a public fountain?!So yeah, to say I'm curious to see how this will all mesh together would be an understatement.

That's all for me, what pretties did YOU get your hands on this week? Link me!
Let me know if you're a new follower :)

  1. Of course I am a major JLA fan girl so I am glad that you got Daimon!! It's so good. I can't wait to see your review of Half-Blood. I need to get Days of Blood and Starlight. I just don't have time to read it now so I am not going to buy it yet. I know if I do I will read it right away and get behind on other books. Lol!

Cool that we both got City of Dark Magic, too! I'm reading it at the moment and it's great fun ^^ And I thought the same about the fountain bit :P
